Welcome to our fundraiser! This year the Akhirah Team are raising funds for MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association). Inspired by Kevin Sinfield, the Leeds Rhinos Rugby player & Rob Burrow who was diagnosed with this disease, we are undertaking the #TeamMND 7 in 7 challenge on the 1st March 2021!! So what is this? Well, believe it or not, we will be running 7 miles per day for 7 days starting 1st March!!! What is MND? MND affects the nerves in the brain & the spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. MND has devastating effects on the individual diagnosed & on their families. We are helping to raise awareness of this disease by raising its profile & alerting people to its existence & effects whilst raising money for an organisation that offers support & help those who require it.
